Last Time Out...
| ..the Raiders beat Tatum 8-6 on the strength of freshman Chris Johnson's two-run, walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 7th inning. The Raiders, who trailed 6-2 entering the 6th inning, pulled to within one thanks to Tanner Antonick's three-run double with two outs in the inning. Ross Richardson led off the 7th with a double to right and later scored on a wild pitch to tie it up, and a walk by Brady Riley set the stage for Johnson's heroics. Johnson (whose grandfather has been razzing him about his homerun total) hit an inside fastball over the left field fence, a few feet inside the fair pole, setting off a raucous celebration at the plate. Matt Morton (4-6) picked up the win with 2 and 2/3 scoreless innings. |
